| Close to the Charente border, midway between Angouleme and Perigueux, \"Les Marteilles\" is just 500 km from St.Malo and 800 km from Calais. Bergerac, Limoges, Poitiers and Bordeaux airports are all within 2 hours\' drive. The TVG from Paris & Lille stops at Angouleme, just 45 km away.
This is the lush, green part of France with country lanes, sleepy villages and rolling wooded valleys; one of the sunniest regions without being oppressively hot.
Built in 1992 and fully redecorated and refurnished last year, \"Les Marteilles\" is fully equipped with all-electric kitchens and utility rooms and attractively furnished in a modern and bright style.
It offers three double bedrooms (one King-size), three twin bedrooms, three bath/shower rooms, and two additional separate wcs.
All the mattresses, bedlinen and towels were renewed last year. Two cots, two high chairs and a baby bath are available if required.
There is ample furniture, cutlery, glassware and crockery and a wide range of books, board games, videos, cds etc plus two satellite TVs and two radio/tape/cd players.
The well-equipped, modern, fitted kitchen has an electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, washing machine, fridge/freezer and dishwasher.
The large, comfortable lounge on the upper floor has two sets of wide, double-glazed patio doors leading onto a south-facing balcony with stunning views and a west-facing terrace.
The large dining room has a vaulted, beamed ceiling and a wall of double-glazed patio doors that leads directly to a terrace surrounding the upper pool. Both pools are fitted with ALARMS meeting French Government Standard NF P 90-307, July 2004, but these do not replace parental vigilance. Youngsters must therefore be supervised at all times.
