On the edge of the small village of Sainte Nathalene, 4 miles from the Historic city of Sarlat, a wooded drive leads off a minor road, to the House, which sits on rising ground with 180-degree views over a wide valley. There are no close neighbours, except a farmhouse< some 1/4 miles away, who cartake the property.
The grounds of nearly 4 acres have a new (2003) 11m x 5m pool, with Roman steps. Beside the house is a large patio, looking over the pool and the distant views. Plenty of garden furniture, Barbecue, table tennis, boules. Two carports. Bed linen is provided, but bring towels. Basic shopping and Restaurant/Bar in the village, within easy walking distance. Accommodation: Upstairs, large double room with en suite bath/shower/WC, room with 4 single beds, another large double room. Bathroom/WC, adjoining. Downstairs: Lovely Oak beamed 40m2 sitting room with massive fireplace. T.V. Cloakroom with WC and basin. Fully fitted kitchen & dinning area, leading out to the patio, with tables and chairs. Entrance porch, large hall, turning stairs with full height windows leading to landing. Cellar: New washing machine and freezer.
Amenities: Sarlat with its pedestrian area, and dozens of \'al fresco\' bars and eateries. Les Ezyies, the Grottes de Lascaux \'the land of the first men\'. Rocamadour, with it\'s hanging Buildings, Gourdon, Domme, and the beautiful Dordogne Valley. The city of Perigueux, horses at Pompadour, Bergerac, the gateway to Bordeaux, Cahors. Everywhere, the great food tradition of the Perigord, and the Dordogne.
