	Dordogne Cottage. Self catering holiday Cottage situated in the Dordogne. Self catering holiday Cottage to rent in the Dordogne, South West France. La Faye has been awarded *3 Globes Commended* by the Where On Earth group for the year 2005 based on feedback from our guests during 2004.
La Faye is a 1960\'s property built by the owners and situated in the grounds of the Moulin de la Faye which is still the family home. It has been in the same family for many years. La Faye is a comfortable cottage in very pretty, well-kept gardens.It has its own entrance and private drive from the service road. In the garden is a plan d\'eau. This is a typical French expression for a man made lake that has been expertly done. It is fed from the mill river and has it\'s own filtration system and a concrete base and sides. It is kept perfectly clean and is in fact a most attractive feature in the garden. One can swim and paddle in the plan d\'eau, cool off and have fun. The cotage is on one level and consists of a fitted kitchen with all appliances dishwasher, microwave and a small eating area. A large lounge/dining room with French doors leading to a covered terrace. A bathroom with bath, shower attachment, WC and two small double bedrooms. The cottage faces the plan d\'eau so one can relax whilst the children play. There are plenty of garden chairs, tables and parasols. There is a garage with a washing machine below the house. The house will comfortably accommodate five and the French owners make families with children very welcome.
The area is very beautiful with plenty to do .The nearest town of Riberac (8 kms) is a market town and is noted for its regular Friday market. There is plenty of choice regarding bars and restaurants. Canoeing and kayaking is available on the Dronne not far away and there is a swimming pool in Riberac. Golf, tennis and horse riding are all within easy reach. The capital of the Perigord, Perigueux is a short forty-minute drive away and is well worth a visit for its Cathedral as well as its shops. The tourist sites are all within easy reach by car.
